Social Media is readily available to all of us and something that many of us would say we are fairly good at using due to our everyday personal use.  However there are specific social media tactics that can be followed to improve your business.  An Article on Social Media Today provides 5 tactics needed but I will share the 3 I find the most important.

1. Consumers are Social

According to Pew Research, 65% of American adults use social media sites.  The majority of these users are between the ages of 18 to 29.  These are just a couple of the statistics that shed light on the importance of having social media presence and the power that social media platforms hold for your business in all realms.  Social media can be used for marketing, consumer feedback, recruiting, and many other aspects important to a successful business.

2. Consumers are Visual

People are visual beings.  We love to see pictures and videos of something we are interested in, invested in, or simply just love.  Pictures are a fun and creative way to get messages across on social media sites and can get information across quickly, effectively and engage your viewers.  Content with relevant images gets 94% more views than content without relevant images- Source.  A picture is worth a thousand words.

3. Consumers are Mobile

Our society is one of instant gratification and constantly on the move.  It is essential to meet this need.  Almost everyone now has a smartphone and/or tablet and these are the keys to all information they obtain.  With this being said, it is vital to have mobile sites with information and easily accessible information.
