Trump’s racial virus

Donald Trump’s racial virus fosters a Divided States of America

Regardless of the outcome of Donald Trump’s campaign, Trump’s racial virus has been planted and has already started to mutate into a new racial divide in the United States, When white brothers, Scott and Steve Leader, beat and urinated on a 58-year-old homeless Mexican man last month, they cited Trump as the reason why they did it.

Trump is not making America great again, he is building hatred and a racial divide that did not previously exist.  Latino are not the ones shooting up movie theaters, setting off bombs in crowded venues or targeting police officers.  Latinos are here to build a greater America through hard labor, sweat and low pay.

The issue of Illegal immigration should be raised, but not using Trump’s racial virus that fosters hatred and division of our Great America.  Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect because all lives do matter.  Our leaders should represent our values and our respect for our country and the dignity of all people.  Trump’s action in deploying this racial virus and the America he is building should be viewed as a great disservice to the country.   A recent post from Paul Thomas of the New Zealand Herald summarizes Trump’s racial virus best, “Trump personifies everything the rest of the world despises about America: casual racism, crass materialism, relentless self-aggrandizement, vulgarity on an epic scale. He is the Ugly American in excess.”  Trump is not a positive, energetic vibrant leader, his is the seed of hatred.

Let’s peacefully find the cure for Trump’s racial virus, by calling on our local news outlets to show the positive the Latino community is doing for America.  Call to put an end to Trump’s racial virus.
